Yes, it's a bit contradictory. If Rag had stronger low-tier cards, you might have been able to use him more aggressively. I've got a deck focused on aggressive hunting, using many cheap creep cards, which is effective but can be vulnerable to large wipe scenarios.

Sure, I just played Priest in Mine, and it seems like it's not working properly—you can't win as a Rag.

Imo it isn't that interesting game mode for experienced players. First win gives pack. After that there's nothing to keep you playing. Except maybe challenging friends. But not like in Ranked where you gain rank or in Arena where you already pay 150 for entering and could win pack and some dust/coins or more.

I'd be in agreement, though I notice the focus is mostly on the casual side. It's entertaining because it's a bit more lighthearted, offering something to do once a week or whenever.

It seems like each person has their own style. Some enjoy Arena and do well there, averaging around eight wins. Others struggle with it and prefer playing their own decks in ranked.

I've only tried two games of Tavern Brawl so far, but got Rag win both. It was surprising—even against Phonetap in ESL season 2! I believe the secret to success with Rag is starting with a solid hand and holding it steady until you can activate the second hero power. I had a great time and can't wait to try Nefarian next.

I enjoy rag but there are some problems. A) it ruins a legendary character and their spells leave you completely useless, B) the random generation is overly powerful since nefarian could get the right spells easily, C) missing core hound pups early means a big setback.

nef is merely an operator during the encounter, rag needs to create a strong drawing, while nef must produce a poor drawing and let wild magic alter it into a fair battle.
