The Hearthstone tavern brawl started today, and it’s a great feature to experiment with stronger cards now that I’m not spending a lot of money. Still, the first brawl is tough—I usually end up around the sixth turn and then it’s over.

Nefarian seems exceptionally strong, though I think a hero power plus five mana start would be overwhelming for Ragnarok.

Absolutely in agreement; holding out until the end gives you an edge since the game is challenging to reach.

I just wiped out a player with Ragnaros. They have solid hands.

I've secured four wins with Nefarian, had one loss, and suffered a major defeat once.

Another matchup with Nefarian, gradually shifting the balance in my favor. He played that perfect 20/20 player, converting his health to 1 and breaking through him. FML.

It seems the strategy involves tricking the enemy into thinking the hero is weak, which allows you to get free spells.

Sure, the free spells can feel quite powerful. Particularly when Ragnaros starts with just 5/1 creep as his hero power. On the flip side, switching spells and getting 8 random damage is tough for the opponent too, though it’s necessary to reach that stage.
