Heart of Thorns is now available!
They enhanced the end-game experience with the Heart of Thorns expansion... haven't tested it yet... but they're working on improving it. I have some reservations about the weapon swap system. It's really clever. Having multiple roles in a build is great—like avoiding being limited to a ranged weapon in close combat and being able to switch to ranged attacks once you gain some space.
If anyone wants, I can try getting OBS back online. I plan to stream to Twitch later today and demonstrate the new patch—just the PvE side, which is pretty early for me to jump back into WvW and check out the new map.
Having the ability to change weapons is great. But I'm used to the old way where I pick from many skills, not just four that match what weapon I pick.
guess it boils down to a "love it or hate it " type of thing. i really do like it. Also, its 5 weapon skills + 1 heal + 3 utilities + 1 elite utility. In addition to this there is profession mechanics, and secondary profession mechanics. In the case of my fav class, rangers. the secondary prof, Druid, can unlock 5 new skills and change the functionality of 5 utility/heal/elite skills.
I believe the mechanic profession is relatively new, especially since I stopped playing around the time Fractals was released. Honestly, I can't really comment on how they're doing. Maybe I'm just different—I really enjoyed the old style. I was actually upset when I learned there wouldn't be a dedicated healer class. Still, it seems the main focus has shifted back to GW1, and I hope GW2 will offer better graphics. The changes to the skill system took away real customization and the ability to craft builds. Plus, I kept watching the game get more and more broken with each update as developers pushed for a new experience. I'm still feeling a bit frustrated.
Yes, there is an option that allows targeting AoE effects based on your standing.
From what I've seen so far with the expansion I honestly don't see how it's worth $50 worth of content, so I'll be waiting for a decent sale on it before picking it up. I still sign-in daily to for my Login Rewards and maybe do a jumping puzzle or two. It's a great MMO and I've put in hundreds of hours into it, but I've done everything possible except make a Legendary weapon(I want Juggernaught so bad) so I'm pretty burnt out from the game too. To the people who bought the expansion, do you think the $50 asking price is worth it for the PvE side alone? I don't do WvWvW or PvP...
It seems the question is about how the traps were constructed for Dragonhunter.
