The biggest update for Guildwars 2 was released today. New players should buy the Heart of Thorns game since the base game is part of it. Those who already have Guildwars 2, like me, will get a bonus when you buy Heart of Thorns. If you're in the EU (especially on SFR), feel free to connect during the game. My name is Everlyn Lynx and I'm super excited about this!

Yes, GW2 continues to exist as a game. It remains available for players to enjoy.

I've pondered guild conflicts and considered trying an MMORPG, though I've never actually played it. It's a good sign people are thinking about exploring this option.

It's "free," but the free versions come with many restrictions... mainly because users often create fake accounts to mess up WvW whenever there are new account discounts in GW2.

I'll hold off on the purchase until a better deal appears.

The experience has changed significantly since its original release. I'm currently at work but look forward to using the new Action Camera once I get home on my Engineer. Previously, it was Buy-to-Play with no monthly fees. Now the base game is free, and the F2P rules are more balanced. Of course, restrictions disappear after purchasing Heart Of Thorns.

I was testing at launch, saved it to the playable area. But after moving to another location on the map, the game stopped working and required a huge download, so it’s now just starting over the next day.

I originally purchased the game when it launched, but I haven't played it in nearly two years. My interest in MMO games has faded a bit, though the game was solid. If you're curious, I can share my account with you—just message me. Since the game is now free, its worth has dropped significantly, so I might as well part with it. By the way, my EU server will be back in about an hour, then I'll get back to you.

I tried it a little when it launched and just stopped caring. There’s no true endgame content. Worse, WVW and Fractals aren’t even considered the final part. The only thing that matters is getting your legendary, but it doesn’t feel worth it. I don’t like the skill system, and the weapon swap is really bad. I used to play Guild Wars 1 back when the prophecies were released—it was so much better. It’s a shame they changed it.
