Headset doesn't work

Hello!
I purchased a new headset that functions perfectly on my brother's laptop, which has only one port. My own laptop from Tong Fang has two ports but it doesn't recognize the headset. The previous model worked without any issues, yet this one seems to have problems. I reached out to Tong Fang without getting a reply. What should I do?

That is a fairly generic device. Just search for "audio to USB-C" at your favorite on-line site.
