i purchased a pdp lv50 wireless headset and recently removed my cpu to replace the thermal paste. when i restarted my pc, the headset appeared as speakers and disconnected, but the headphones didn’t turn off. they simply didn’t show up on my inputs.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time?
You might want to try and reinstall your chipset drivers, in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator. If the issue persists, try and uninstall the wireless adapter(meant for the headset) from Device Manager.

already did that it seems like a speaker connects and then disconnects randomly, yet the headphones remain on.
