I received new IEMs and needed an adapter since the 3ft cord is too short. I attached everything and it’s no longer being detected. Even when using just the IEMs, another pair of headphones doesn’t work. I’m certain it’s not the IEMs because they were brand new and functioned earlier today, and it’s definitely not the IEM plus cord since that works fine on my phone. What happened and how can I fix this? When checking the sound system where all devices are visible, it shows “not plugged in.” The Bluetooth speaker I’ve paired with it also works, but removing it didn’t help. Nothing changed.

Restart the system with the headphones connected; sometimes the operating system resists when you attempt to install something unfamiliar.

IEMs and extensions typically use a 3.5mm audio jack. Ensure it isn't a 4-pole type, since not all PC audio outputs support this size. If needed, an adapter that splits audio and microphone connections may be necessary.

Consider Realtek or an alternative audio solution. If it's Realtek, use IOBit Driver Booster to update the drivers.
