Headers for cooling fans on your motherboard
Hello everyone. I checked the spec sheet for my motherboard and confirmed the details. It lists a single CPU 4-pin fan header and two 4-pin system fan headers. This means I can only have two case fans running at the same time. With my current NZXT H500 case, it seems like placing one fan on the top rear and another next to the motherboard ports would be counterproductive—drawing air in from the top while expelling it immediately after. The picture in the spoiler illustrates this setup clearly.
It's accurate to attach a fan splitter to the header(s) for better connectivity. Typically, fan headers support up to 1A, so verify that the fans you use stay within that limit. Remember, the H500 doesn't offer exceptional airflow; performance also depends on what you place inside the case.
Yes, you can connect three Corsair fans with a 0.30A draw each to a single header fan splitter.
