Headers for cooling fans on your motherboard
Headers for cooling fans on your motherboard
You're facing a common setup challenge. The motherboard likely has a single fan header, but you have multiple fans and cooler components. To connect everything, you'll need to route the fans through the header using appropriate connectors or adapters. Make sure each fan is properly secured and wired to the header for optimal cooling.
It seems Molex only supplies power to the device it’s connected to. I recommend purchasing a fan controller that draws power from Molex or SATA and also utilizes your motherboard header for management.
They're fans of Montech, by the way. You could get a fan controller and link it to the SATA cable from the power supply.
For three-pin fans, you can also shut them down by connecting the Molex connectors and using one of the three-pin cables—this will function as a splitter.
Connect the Molex 4-pin straight to the SATA 4-pin connector on the power supply unit.
