He doesn’t understand computers much, and his laptop is acting up after a factory reset. He turned it off halfway through and now it keeps switching between two screens without stopping. I’m not sure what to do and would really appreciate any advice.

If he turned it off during a reset/restore, then you will either have to: a). Adjust the setup and reinstall b). Apply a restore point if available.

The screen shows the laptop brand briefly before switching to another. In your previous post you mentioned it changes between two displays, suggesting a hardware problem. Reinstalling or recovering the system should resolve it. Formatting might also help.
