My experience with PC gaming has been really tough lately. I’ve spent countless hours trying to fix things, but it’s been over five months of daily stress. I started noticing stuttering and lag in most games a few months back. Before giving up, I ran through tons of troubleshooting steps—replacing parts, updating drivers, changing settings—but nothing worked. The problem is especially noticeable in open-world titles, though it’s rare in similar games. In PUBG it’s constant stuttering and freezing, while games like Gears 4 freeze when there are blood effects or particles. My old build still has the motherboard, which seems to be the culprit. I swapped it out with another board on my existing hardware and the issue persisted. No signs of overheating or power issues were detected. The problem affects all games equally. At first, I had no symptoms, but after more than 100 hours of play, I’ve tried nearly everything: new components, different motherboards, various BIOS tweaks, software updates, and even changed graphics settings. Still, my frame times fluctuate wildly—often spiking to 200 or 500 FPS even when locked. It’s clear something critical is failing, likely due to the motherboard damaging one of my parts. I’m seeking advice and specs to help diagnose what’s wrong.

Have you attempted to reinstall Windows? It could be very useful.

I've conducted thorough testing in games and benchmarks, recording monitoring data and attempting to find connections. All temperature and voltage readings are within normal ranges. When monitoring in-game, my CPU stays around 50% and GPU at 90-99%, yet problems persist. Capping the frame rate doesn't resolve the issue—frame rates fluctuate but remain consistently high. V-sync toggling has no impact, though I shouldn't need to do it at all.
