It seems you're suggesting a specific approach. Would you like me to explain how that works?

It's helpful when suggestions come during setup, but ideally keep the SSD connected only during installation. The installer often tries to set up a 100MB boot partition on another HDD, making it tricky to swap drives without recompiling the OS. The recommended method is: 1) Begin the Windows installer and choose "Custom Install" or upgrade when prompted. 2) Go to the disk selection screen. 3) Click "Drive Options (advanced)." 4) Delete all partitions on the HDD. 5) Generate a fresh partition using the full HDD space. 6) Power off the computer without starting the install. 7) Turn on the PC, detach the HDD power or cable (or both), and restart. 8) Install Windows onto the SSD. 9) Once on the desktop, shut down the PC and reconnect the HDD before rebooting. On the next start, the HDD will appear as a single partition. Completed.
