HDR support in KDE Plasma 6 is available through the display settings.
I was informed HDR could be causing color issues, though I believe it isn't active. I should verify, but the setting is under Display Customization. The only available options are Resolution, Orientation Refresh Rate, and Global Scale. I'm still using the X server, which means I suspect HDR isn't supported there. I originally considered posting at the provided link, but I don't have permission to share my own thread.
What is the X Server? That discussion seems to have been removed because it was mistakenly posted as a question.
Use Wayland for HDR functionality and choose a distribution that includes Plasma 6. If HDR isn't being updated to 5.27, consider adding Gamescope and running games via Steam or Lutris with the added command.
Checking the video quality directly on your phone should give you a clear view. If needed, you can capture a screenshot or record a short clip to see how it appears.
