Hello, I purchased the iiyama G-Master GB3467WQSU-B5 which supports HDR 400. I turned on HDR in the OSD and Windows HD-Color in the settings. The HDR content on YouTube works well, but inside the game I notice strange sharpening effects and color shifts. This issue appears across all games, not just BG3. https://streamable.com/4zoqfa https://streamable.com/xe3pod https://streamable.com/7qoej7 IMG_4995.mov IMG_4996.mov IMG_4998.mov Edited July 12, 2024 by ComfyVibes Streamable Links for Videos

For accurate HDR visuals, you should use a screen rated at DisplayHDR600 or higher, ideally with Mini-LED or OLED technology. Standard edge-lit panels fall short in contrast, brightness, and dynamic range compared to these advanced displays. The HDR400 label is often called "FakeHDR" because it only confirms the display can handle an HDR signal without guaranteeing it actually renders it well. Detailed performance evaluations from sources like rtings or displayninja will provide deeper insights. Windows 10 historically struggles with HDR support, while Windows 11 has made notable improvements.

It's good to hear you're considering an upgrade. I tried installing the latest updates on Windows 11 but it didn't work. I appreciate your assistance and will check again if anything changes. If not, I'll return the monitor. Thank you!

Well, I couldn't make an in-place upgrade and had to reinstall Windows, but it worked out. The real issue was G-Sync... After setting everything up and launching the first descendant with HDR enabled, everything seemed normal, though I realized G-Sync wasn’t active. So I closed the game, turned G-Sync back on, restarted the game and faced the same problem as before—something I hadn’t considered. Still grateful for the advice!
