HDMI to display port or DVI-D adapter (HDMI port unavailable)
HDMI to display port or DVI-D adapter (HDMI port unavailable)
I’m looking for an Oculus Rift setup with my MSI Trident 3. I need a way to connect my monitor and headset simultaneously, but I’m short on HDMI connections. My PC has a display port and a DVI-D port. I’m thinking about using an adapter so the HDMI cable from my monitor can go into either the DVI or DVI-D slot. I want to keep my 2560x1080 90Hz display resolution intact. Ideally, I’d prefer a budget-friendly option since it would save me money. My PC has four HDMI ports—one for the graphics card, one front panel, and two rear ones. I’m planning to connect the VR link port on the motherboard to the HDMI slot on the back labeled “VR Link,” which should activate the front port. However, when I tried to connect my monitor to the other HDMI port, it didn’t work. I’m guessing it’s already connected to the motherboard and I can’t change anything in BIOS. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
