Hi all. So here is my weird problem which has been solved......kind of. Started my pc up today and can only get low resolution (yesterday was all fine). And also no audio through the TV or speakers. The only place the audio comes out is the little speaker inside the pc. Now after having a rage and wishing I bought a console to game on, I switched leads around so instead of it being hdmi out from Gpu to my tv it is now display port out to active adaptor/converter to hdmi and I get the expected 1080p resolution and all audio is fine. My question is this Is my hdmi port on my gtx960 faulty? Why would it 1 day be fine and then the next after changing nothing start playing up?. Am I missing something? I have updated the nvidia drivers and updated Windows 10 which changed nothing. The only thing that makes it work is using a different port on the back of the gtx 960. Any help would be greatly appreciated Many thanks

You notice the HDMI connection isn’t being detected by the TV, even though it’s connected directly from your GPU. Changing to the display port adapter resolves the issue, delivering the correct resolution and sound via your auxiliary speakers.
