Windows lets me set up the disk, I’ve got all my backups ready so I could try that. However, I’m hoping to resolve this differently first. I unplugged both SATA and data cables, but it didn’t help. I also checked for driver updates, and everything functioned normally yesterday. Now I noticed the drive was missing when I attempted to open an app on it (2 screenshots, Disk 2).

It's quite unusual. It seems likely it's damaged. You might want to format the drive, though I'm not certain it will succeed.

Consider a different SATA cable and port, perhaps linking it to another device altogether. If it doesn’t improve things, the drive is likely dead.

Treat it as final, so make sure to save all files just in case it gets recognized unexpectedly

I don't have information about the drive's age. Could you provide more details or check its documentation?

It identifies the storage as a 3 GB hard drive. This could mean the device is quite outdated or the drive is malfunctioning.

Wow, I completely missed that earlier! It seems like there might be a 3 TB issue... probably a bad drive.

Approximately six years have passed. It seems the device is likely no longer functional, as I observed it displaying 3 GB instead of TB in the disk management interface.
