Facing some issues with my PC recently. Situation 1: Under heavy load (like opening many browser tabs at once or running several games simultaneously). Issue 1: The HDD disconnects briefly before reconnecting. Scenario 2: Normal functioning. Problem 2: When I power on the system, the drives take a moment to initialize—about a minute or two instead of instantly (small hiccup but noticeable). Past Experience: A SATA controller failure occurred earlier; other USB devices and HDDs worked fine. Realization came later when a friend inquired about my old PC. Current condition: Crystal Disk shows all drives as Good. RIG -------------------------- AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (early adopter) Gigabyte AB350M-Gaming 3-CF 1333/1444 RAM (important ballistic memory, CPU not showing models) x2 8GB stick GTX 1050Ti 4GB KC600 256GB SSD x2 Seagate 1TB x2 WD Green 4TB Bronze 550W/600W PSU note: HDDs have already been replaced 1 and 2 years ago --------------------------- The choice is unclear (budget limits). My thought is the motherboard or power supply unit might be the issue. Or should I upgrade everything—Ryzen 5600, B550 board, PSU, and RAM? Also considering adding or swapping RAM now?
