Mostly I don’t mind the steam workshop, but to get the best experience in Skyrim you should use the Nexus. Steam’s mod rules are too strict for this game. Still, if you’re not up for modding, stick with the Steam Workshop. Creating mods from the Nexus can be quite challenging if you’re a hardcore fan.
Tamriel Reloaded HD looks amazing and I'm going to be trying that out in a bit, but the highest rated one is definitely Skyrim HD 2K textures, or you could go all out with something like Skyrim Mod Combiner, it takes a LONG time to install it, but it's probably worth it. Can't forget about SMIM.
