Have you used the W10 Ghost Spectre before?
I'm planning PC maintenance around the holidays, switching to a new SSD. Currently running Windows 7, but I'm considering upgrading to Windows 10 if it's a stable release. The version I've heard about is Ghost Spectre Superlite. Does anyone here have experience with it? How does it perform compared to other versions? Looking forward to your thoughts!
You meant to clarify that you're looking for a solution without bloat or automatic phone calls. A Windows 10 debloater combined with registry tweaks should work... and if you need a modified ISO, an amateurs modder can handle that too.
I improved from 8.1 to 10 but lost a crucial driver. Windows 10 offers its own advantages, yet I’d back up all peripheral drivers to ensure compatibility. Windows 10 sometimes creates its own drivers, which can cause older peripherals to stop working with the generic version.
It's starting a brand new SSD setup, but my W7 system will stay on the old one until everything is arranged. The only outdated programs I’m familiar with tend to cause issues, especially Asus AiSuit II since its latest release is for W8.1, though it might still function with W10. I dislike that software overall, but it’s the only one that recognizes all my fan headers and lets me control them via PWM—other fan tools ignore them completely. Regarding the W10’s quirks… that’s why I’m considering a custom build like Ghost Spectre, so everything is cleaned up or disabled, including Windows updates. It would be great to hear what others think about it if anyone has experience.
