I placed the components into my CPU and am 99% certain I made contact with a pin. There’s nothing visible that’s bent, but I’m feeling a bit uneasy. If I let them know the parts came in damaged, will they repair them?

There are no bent pins detected; the socket appears in good condition.

Isn't it functioning properly? What's causing your concern?

Based on my tests with pins in LGA sockets, simply touching them won’t lead to problems. The pins contain some flexibility, which makes sense given the high pressure during CPU installation and the need for them to return to their original position after removal to maintain good electrical contact. In short, the socket appears safe under those conditions—though oil from skin on the pins could be a concern.
