Have you tried fixing your laptop's graphics card?
I have an Asus fx505dy with an rx560x card, but when I try to run Call of Duty Vanguard, it only runs on my Vega 8 integrated graphics and won't switch no matter what. Here is everything I tried:
- I checked the drivers manually and made sure they were up-to-date.
- I changed the GPU adapter in the game settings, which caused the game to restart but still showed the Vega 8 instead of the rx560x.
- I told the game to use the rx560x through graphics settings in Windows.
- I opened Task Manager under Performance with a different game to check if the GPU was working; it seemed fine, so other games work just like this one.
- In Device Manager, it said the GPU is working correctly and checked everything but couldn't find an option for Radeon Software to set it as the primary card. I didn't see any switchable graphics or workload options there either.
- Even though I turned off integrated graphics in Device Manager, launched the game, and started over, the game would not launch at all.
I am looking for a solution if anyone has one that can help me fix this problem because it is really annoying.
Make sure your laptop is running on the newest BIOS settings. Use DDU to take out all of your graphics card drivers and then set them back up using the latest ones from AMD's website by right-clicking the installer and choosing "Run as Administrator." What computer system are you working with?
