Have you tried fixing your laptop?
I have an Asus Transformer Book T300LA. I noticed updated drivers for the touch pad in Windows 10 with some new features. I installed them, but they didn’t function properly. After reinstalling, it still didn’t work. I checked Asus’s site and found a BIOS upgrade for Windows 10, thinking that might help. Still nothing. Then I downloaded a BIOS update and installed it using the preinstalled WinFlash tool—previous times it worked so I trusted it. The laptop restarted with a green semicircle in the center and another in the top left. After about an hour, it didn’t change anything, so I powered it off and tried to restart again. I realized that was a mistake; now pressing the power button doesn’t do anything. The fans aren’t spinning, and the charger light stays on even when unplugged, not turning off. Is there any chance I can flash the BIOS again, or is my motherboard damaged and needs replacement?
You might take the laptop to an ASUS repair shop for a fix or purchase a replacement and update the BIOS yourself using this link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/203585702653?ha...BMkNyzyL5h
Your motherboard allows BIOS restoration: yes. If not, it requires a different approach or a replacement board. I experienced a failed BIOS flash on an HP PAVILION laptop without success with BIOS recovery, but managed to get the issue fixed over the weekend using an extended warranty.
Enables reading and writing a CMOS chip without powering the whole board. You don’t require a CPU or RAM on the mainboard, just a separate computer to operate this feature. It functions with most devices.
