You just wrapped up your school year and are looking for a fresh game. You're interested in something modern, maybe with a story-driven experience or multiplayer options. I know you've played GTA H1Z1, Farcry Trine, and ETS2, so I'll suggest titles that fit those tastes but offer something new.
Consider trying Shadow of Mordor. Although it's not multiplayer, I found it enjoyable. The PC version is also a solid release.
Mass Effect Trilogy was amazing. Although I have yet to finish 2 and start 3. Mass Effect 1 was AWESOME.
It seems like you're starting a message. Could you clarify what you'd like to do next?
I've enjoyed brutal doom and old-school games without any extra stuff; maybe because I haven't fully mastered them. Ziggurat is a fast-paced maze shooter. Modern in style, runs smoothly. Loves playing with friends. Modded Skyrim has taken up a lot of my time—searching for good mods can take 20 hours. When I saw Witcher 3, I just wanted to revisit Total War: any game with lots of mods. Grand Strategy is impressive, check out the videos if you haven't seen it yet. Over 500 hours across three titles. Kerbal Space Program is a blast for all ages, easy to reach the moon. Another planet isn't bad—what have I gotten myself into?
Skyrim and the Witcher series have both appreciated them, spending over 200 hours on Xbox and around 40 hours with mods on PC. Witcher games are especially strong in storytelling, though the first two weren't played; the 3-pack Witcher includes all three and comes with the official doc. Currently enjoying Witcher 3 after playing it now.
What's your spending limit? It's odd how rarely people mention budgets when discussing games... GOG is running a discount on the Witcher series. For an RPG, you can grab either Witcher 1 or 2 for under $4. At that cost, it won't be too bothersome if you don't like it. For first-person shooters, consider Half Life titles—they'll be really affordable during the Steam sale next week. If you enjoy free-to-play games and like multiplayer, Team Fortress 2 is a great option. It's so enjoyable!
