My friend got a new PC and is living in a hotel while working somewhere else. After he turned on the computer and started making Windows 11, it wouldn't let him connect to the Wi-Fi for some reason, so he just went straight to the desktop screen. Now when he tries to connect to the hotel's Wi-Fi, his computer says something like "you have to agree to these rules," but he can't find any options on the screen to click on or say yes.

What kind of car is this? Are those rules just for the hotel?

It's a CLX pre-built thing that came last Thursday. It looks like this might be the problem. He told me he got that pop-up on his phone and it connected okay. But then he said when he tried to connect to his PC for the wifi, there was no window showing up to accept the terms and conditions. So what should I do from here? Is a hotspot better?

Hot spots usually work, but maybe you forgot to attach the wifi antenna to the computer. That's why your friend isn't getting an online sign-up. If that doesn't help, his friend could call the hotel or just wait for him to get back home.

He's connected to the wifi on his motherboard, but he can't get the hotel's website to come up. He said it might be because his phone doesn't have a hotspot turned on just yet. Any ideas on how to make that page appear? He is staying at this place for two years now, so going home isn't really an option right now lol.

Did he restart his computer? Trying to connect to the internet after turning it off usually brings up that little window asking for Wi-Fi info.

When I go to a hotel, that check-in screen pops up inside my browser instead of a special pop-up box. If something goes wrong, I can just call the front desk to fix it or get another start code for my room.
