Have you received the incorrect Mobo?
I built my PC from scratch using Ibuypower, which gives me flexibility for learning and upgrades. I have an 8-core i9-9900K processor and a 2080Ti FE graphics card. Someone more experienced told me the Asus Prime Z390P might not be compatible with my 9900K. Since I won’t be overclocking, I’m curious if the Z390P will work smoothly with the base 3.6GHz clock speed of the CPU and the 2080Ti. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
The main turbo frequency on the 9900K (and KF) is 4.7GHz, meaning all cores will operate at 4.7GHz when the system is running at stock speed—this indicates you're missing significant performance potential if your board isn't optimal. Choosing 3.6GHz would be a mistake because it equates to accepting lower performance than necessary, which is acceptable only for basic operation.
