I was working hard to boost my Corsair Venegance LPX 3000 RAM, increasing the voltages to 1.4 and achieving 3400mhz. Then I adjusted to 1.42 and hit 3600mhz. I’m aiming for 3500mhz but haven’t tried yet. I’m using the built-in cooling without an extra cooler. Am I just thrilled or have I broken a new record? Let me know if you want a screenshot of the app.

Someone boosted the RAM speed past 6000MHz. A 3400MHz increase is quite a modest jump. My 3600MHz RAM reached 4200MHz consistently.

I really thought it would be a blast tweaking the RAM stability on my Ryzen 7 3700X, but it didn’t turn out that way.

He might be mistaken about the frequency because it's not that high or commonly used.

He mentioned he was struggling with overclocking his 3000mhz RAM, and I wanted to know more about it.

You won't reach 5-6ghz because of the board layout, the RAM placement, and the IC positioning. The RAM doesn't draw much power and stays cool. You might just need an 80mm fan in the worst case. Edited August 11, 2020 by TofuHaroto
