Looking for an MMORPG with simple access and decent lore? Maybe something with a one-time payment for perks instead of ongoing costs. Browser-friendly options are great, and I prefer free or low-cost games. AdventureQuest World comes to mind, but it can be tough to jump in unless you're willing to put in the work.

Dragonfable was a huge favorite of mine. I truly long for the times when I played games that brought me such joy.

I recall Munez, I have a 40-level mage but no Dragon Amulet. The games seem to be falling apart now.
