When I try to turn on my computer after it has been asleep, the background, taskbar, and desktop icons appear distorted. The situation looks similar to what I see often. I've changed all sleep settings and even reinstalled Windows this past spring, but nothing has improved. I'm really confused about what might be wrong. It seems like one of my monitors—my Acer XZ242Q—might be the issue, especially since I suspect it could have had problems earlier. Updating drivers didn't help either. I really need assistance with this problem; I don't understand what to do next. Thanks!

Search for tools that help preserve the layout of icons.

I could try, but the screenshot misses the fact that the PC behaves oddly too. It doesn't display properly or loads slowly. Sometimes items show in the wrong spot, such as the start menu where the restart button shifts position.

You can create a short video using your phone, share it privately on YouTube, and ask the support team to show you what’s happening and confirm this is typical behavior.
