Hey everyone, based on some feedback from recent posts, I reached out to a nearby IT firm for a network upgrade quote for my workplace. They provided two estimates—one of which came after a coworker suggested cutting the number of cat6 runs to lower costs. I used their original figures along with my own labor costs in a custom list. My spreadsheet omitted lift rental and conduit expenses, assumed shielded cabling, and specified particular jacks. I’m curious if I’m being charged too much for these upgrades. I’ve attached both estimates plus my spreadsheet for your review.

Ten years ago I mainly installed Cat and Jack for offices, adding all the extra equipment. My biggest charge was $1500 for a 30 drop with a backup wire just in case or for future needs. I think that might be too much—could you look into other options and quotes?
