Have you ever played Vice City: Multiplayer? It's a fun experience!
Hey everyone! It's nice to see you all here. I'm Octavio Cortés, a 16-year-old boy from Argentina who loves games, books, movies, series, and learning languages. Today, I want to talk about the community I regularly visit; I consider myself a veteran, having started playing in 2011 when I was just nine years old—what an incredible journey! My main motivation is simply my deep affection for this community and its smaller groups. Since it's becoming outdated as a game, I worry it might disappear soon. But let's not dwell on the negatives—let's move forward with the talk.
I'd like to describe this multiplayer mod in my own words, with some input from the developers: Vice-City Multiplayer is an interactive upgrade for GTA: Vice City, letting you step into amazing servers that originate from Racing and transition into roleplaying and dialogue modes. Each server has its own unique style and customization options, which brings out the full fun that single-player versions often lack.
The latest version is 0.4. I know the game is quite old, and the multiplayer isn't perfect, but what keeps me coming back is the community. Here, everyone knows each other—this creates a close-knit environment. We're like a family, even with some differences or minor ones, we enjoy playing together, whether it's debating or chatting in forums.
Another aspect I appreciate is the presence of clans. From my honest view, these groups are what have kept the game alive. People like MK (my clan), SS, TRC, OSK—each one welcomes newcomers warmly, though there are some requirements, a good command of English, and a certain level of maturity.
If you're curious about what makes VCMP special, I'd say it's the active players. This is what I hope to inspire others to try: an opportunity to practice English, understand respect, and learn how to script—just like I did. The player base is mainly from Minor Asia, but there are also many Europeans and Latin Americans.
