It isn't the HDD since the lagging dots and frozen desktop persist even after removing it.

It isn't the 2TB SSD or HDD, so the sole available drive is the 500 GB SSD running Windows.

Are you still experiencing freezes in Windows when only the OS drive is connected?
Diagnose your drive using Samsung Magician.
Display screenshots.
(Upload to imgur.com and share the link)
You might need to replace the SSD and perform a clean installation of Windows on a new drive.
Reminder: ensure only one drive is connected during installation, or else you'll have Windows on one drive with the bootloader on another.

That's the issue. The computer screen is entirely locked up and not working. I'm unable to do anything.

I might want to purchase a new SSD but am reluctant without certainty it's the right one. My GPU also fails when I connect the monitor.
