Is there a complimentary email program that lets you shrink it to the system tray? It should offer rich editing for text, links, and images when messages come in. You want a notification in the tray showing the subject so you can delete it easily, or open it directly without extra steps. I tried Windows Live Mail with Trayconizer, but it doesn’t alert me automatically—I have to check folders manually.

I reviewed the initial message. I used Outlook 2013 and believe it's possible to access that. Just let me know if you need any help!

Thunderbird offers excellent value without cost. I no longer use it as I consider Gmail sufficient. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/

Thunderbird is uncertain about deleting it because I only plan to open or keep it for later.

Thunderbird seems effective when used over an extended period.
