I also notified R* via email about the hack, and after three days it was resolved.

Reach out to Rockstar Support and submit a ticket. They can reset your username and restore everything—including lost friends and crews—to its original state. Update your password and consider turning on two-factor authentication if available. A strong, random alphanumeric password (at least 12 characters) works well; you could also use a memorable passphrase like "Bananas are blue and boxes are happy." Both options provide solid security against brute-force attacks. If using a password manager such as LastPass, they handle the creation of complex passwords for you.
