Hey everyone, I'm curious about whether Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 can be installed on an external hard drive and if it would work that way.

In principle, they can be operated from any input.

You're welcome! For installing Windows on an external drive, you don't need special steps beyond what you'd use for an internal drive. Just follow the standard installation process as you normally would. Let me know if you need more details!

Hello Everyone. Apologies, I haven’t had a chance to test this yet because I encountered some health problems, but I’m feeling better now. I plan to try it this weekend. Before proceeding, I have another question—maybe a simple one—but since I’m new to this, I want to make sure I do it right. When installing OS 9, which I’m considering Windows 10, should I connect just the external drive to my PC or keep the other drive connected while it runs? Also, are there any good YouTube videos that clearly explain these steps? I found one, but the person only shows text and doesn’t speak much, which makes it hard to follow. It would be nice if someone narrated the process instead of just typing instructions.

Hello Everyone, I decided to attempt installing Windows on a 1tb WD element USB external drive. I'm facing some challenges with the installation process. I followed the video tutorial closely and tried to explain my situation. To clarify, my computer runs Windows using a Samsung EVO 250gb SSD as the main operating system, while the 1tb WD drive serves as storage. When the instructions suggest choosing the disk for installation, I select Disk 3. However, when I type "Create Partition Primary" and then "Select Disk," I get a message stating there is no disk selected. My USB drive disappears from the list in CMD after that step, but it appears in the computer's management view. I also noticed I was able to see all drives in CMD until reaching the partition selection stage. This is where the issue arises—why am I encountering this problem?
