I placed an order for a custom gaming PC and found the GPU box foam damaged upon arrival. This has me worried and upset, thinking my new GPU and system might be used or refurbished.

Do you understand why that foam is there?
It's not just for appearance. It's meant to safeguard the GPU during transport, preventing damage it might otherwise have suffered. The foam absorbed the shock effectively, as expected.

Insert the data into the system and verify functionality. Test performance using benchmarks such as Unigine Superposition.

I performed that task and on 1080 extreme settings, I received 13560... Now I'm uncertain if the score is accurate for this model!?

I don't have a specific GPU model. Could you clarify which one you're referring to?

As I mentioned, I didn't receive the GPU and other parts immediately. In fact, I placed an order for a custom gaming setup at a nearby computer store, and they assembled all the components I selected... I actually got the entire system delivered together.

Check the remaining specifications. If your main processor isn't powerful enough, you might not achieve the same results as another setup with the same graphics card, but a quicker CPU.

Verify the card's serial number on the website for warranty service needs. If the warranty is still offered, worry not about whether it's new or refurbished—just confirm it functions as required. Also, note that the GPU might only be covered under the warranty of the custom PC manufacturer, so check if the PC has a serial number to ensure full coverage.
