Cars from Forzas or NFS could feel similar to GTA IV, with crashes that are either more realistic or tougher to handle. Friendship mechanics would work well, but AI behavior would improve. Hacking would become significantly more challenging.
Skyrim with today's standards feels limited. Strong combat design, deep skill and trait progression—from simple player to powerful warrior, mage, or rogue. Everything behaves realistically. Wooden shields would cause damage to wood components, and iron weapons would corrode over time. Natural material interactions and impressive visuals make it stand out.
GTA V, Arma 3, Spintires, Project Cars, BF4 all merged into a single experience.
I’m looking for a game that blends some realistic elements with stunning visuals. It could be compared to titles like Skyrim enhanced with Enraging or Crysis-like detail, or the atmospheric style of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. The setting should feel expansive, drawing from worlds like Morrowind, Skyrim, and Oblivion, with diverse landscapes and unique wildlife.
Weapons should be varied—swords, daggers, bows—without relying on firearms. Combat should sit somewhere between Skyrim’s approach and Chivalry’s tone. You’d begin as a minor character in a vast realm, gradually progressing through the story.
The world should shift with each playthrough; different regions would offer distinct experiences and challenges. The game should avoid predictable narratives, letting tribes, nations, or factions shape their own destinies. Power levels would change based on choices, making every region feel alive and responsive.
Defense matters: settlements shouldn’t be easily overrun unless you have a strong presence. Enemies should remain tough to defeat, encouraging strategic planning.
Optional multiplayer could work—small groups of 5–20 players interacting in local servers, not a full-scale MMO. The focus would be on teamwork or rivalry within close-knit communities.
This is what I’m after: a dynamic, ever-changing environment where every decision matters and the world feels truly alive.
Additionally, accessing any space—whether a single room or a large complex with hundreds of rooms—remains possible. NPCs consistently carry unique objectives.
I could align with this idea, though I’d pick Oblivion instead of Skyrim. The vivid color scheme in Oblivion really stood out to me—it felt very fantasy-like and impressive. On the other hand, Skyrim’s muted tones made it less appealing in my opinion. Still, Skyrim remains a great game that I enjoy playing. Also, consider a more engaging main quest. I believed the storyline in Skyrim was weak, and I’m pretty sure the progression didn’t work well during an Xbox playthrough. Edit: Reflecting on this, a game like Elder Scrolls with travel between Tamriel’s regions would enhance its appeal. And no, not something like ESO.
Car dynamics in Beam NG involve analyzing forces and motion during collisions.
Natural Selection 1 was originally flawless. NS2 fell short, really.
