your new pc is restarting repeatedly before you can reach the login screen. you've spent several days trying to figure out what to do, and now you're feeling confused. the system specs are: i7-4790k processor, asrock c266 ws motherboard, evga gtx 1050 ti, 32gb ram. you've reset everything, cleaned hdd and ssd thoroughly, reinstalled windows 10 on the ssd, but progress hasn't been made. you need urgent assistance.
It overheats during loading, so it shuts down to safeguard itself. Improve CPU cooling; BIOS temperatures should stay around mid to low 30s.
80C works for the i7-2600, but I suspect the problem lies with the thermal paste. My 2600 with a 1050 has consistently handled 60-65°C gaming at 1600p without issues. Was this a fresh build using new components or a refurbished unit? If it was secondhand, the previous owner might not have realized the need to replace the paste and kept it.
Everything except the GPU and storage is secondhand, originally purchased by someone before me. I should remove and clean out the cooler and CPU, then apply fresh thermal paste. It might work, so I’ll probably buy a new cooler once I have the funds. I’m still getting familiar with PC stuff, but I’m managing and learning every day. Thanks for your help!
It's an i7-4790k, and I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes compared to the 2600.
