Have trouble starting your new PC setup.
I've been attempting to assemble a new PC and upon turning it on nothing occurred. I verified all connections were secure, power was on, and the motherboard received voltage but fans remained off. I've checked every component for compatibility and believe they are correct. Please find my parts list below in case anything is missing. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. You verify the MoBo is receiving power by checking the PSU switch and ensuring it’s in the on position. You’re attempting to start the PC using a screwdriver to short the power pins, so confirming you’re contacting the correct pins helps identify why power isn’t appearing.
That's acceptable, but you must short the power pins to actually power on the PC. Check the manual for the MoBo layout—it lists the front panel connector as #13 on the page. It also displays the pin labels. You should press the screwdriver against the two upper right labeled PWRBTN (refer to the screenshot below).
Ensure the front panel connectors are correctly linked. They’re tiny, so positioning can be tricky, but you’ll be sure your setup is ready!
Also, please adjust your coller by rotating it 90 degrees to direct the hot air out from the back of the case rather than straight at your GPU. The mounting bars seem slightly misaligned but they look good overall so far!
