You've been working on this for the last couple of days and still can't solve it. You're using Ubuntu 20.04 and following the tutorial from linuxnorth.org. I encountered an error while trying to load forge-universal.jar, which keeps popping up. The issue seems to be related to a ClassCastException during the server launcher process. I've tried reinstalling, cleaning up files, and following the suggested fixes from the GitHub post, but nothing seems to work. I'm really stuck and just need some guidance to get Minecraft running again.

The issue has been resolved, even though it might not be widely recognized anytime soon. To apply the fix, switch to OpenJDK8 by running the command `sudo update-alternatives --config java` in your terminal. Another option was renaming the application, though I wasn't sure if that truly fixed the problem.
