Have trouble resolving the Steam update problem?
Hello, I own Rainbow 6 on Steam and have been getting the latest season update called Void Edge. It’s a 66 GB update, and I began downloading on the 26th of last month, managing about 35 GB. Last night I resumed from my off-peak data quota and saw the download reset to zero, starting over. I paused it because I couldn’t just start again from scratch. After some research, I learned this can happen when another game update coincides with a download. Several fixes were suggested—restarting Steam, rebooting the PC, clearing the download cache, and checking integrity. I also tried copying files to another drive, stopping the update, restarting, pausing, quitting, and then replacing the files. Still nothing worked. Downloading 66 GB in my region is extremely slow, and it could take months just to finish. If this keeps happening again, I’m seriously worried about my situation. Thank you for your help.
