Hello, your recent build includes an Intel i5-10400F, a Z590 motherboard, and a Z490 motherboard. After enabling XMP profiles, the memory speed jumps instantly to 3200MHz instead of the default 2133MHz. However, every time you boot the PC it fails and you have to revert settings back to defaults. You mentioned that 2666 is the maximum speed the system can boot at without issues, but you're told the Z490 supports 3200MHz. It seems there might be a misunderstanding about the compatibility of your components. Please verify the specifications and consider checking the motherboard documentation or consulting a professional to resolve this issue.

You should consider your options carefully. Yes, you can try testing it to see how it works.

Already updated to the latest version. Attempted to start at 2700MHz using XMP on, but it still stops at 2666.

the xmp profile could attempt to execute timing settings that are overly constrained, leading to boot issues. 2666 represents the JEDEC standards and it should function correctly at that pace. Could you clarify the timing details and sub-timings of your RAM module? Is this kit compatible with the motherboard's specifications? Perhaps a lower-quality memory controller on the chip is preventing higher speeds from being utilized...
