I assembled all the components for my PC and accidentally bent some power switch cables. When I tried bending them back, it didn’t work. I then attempted to press a screwdriver lightly against the pins to start the PC, but it didn’t respond. Could this mean the motherboard is damaged or that the cables aren’t connected properly?

Verify all connections are secure—24-pin, 8-pin, wall plug, and PSU switch. Refer to the power switch manual again.

The power switch isn't linked to the main board.

In the lower-right corner of your mainboard, you'll find the Front Panel Header (F_Panel). This is where the power button for your case is connected. Check your motherboard manual for details.

You should check the pins for any damage and see if they can be straightened or replaced. If they're too bent, it might be best to contact a professional repair service.

They’re clearly aimed at the picture. Besides, you can still cut the pins—just check the manual for the exact connector placement and short only those two.
