Hey there! Your birthday is coming up soon (November 24th), and you're excited about getting a new PC! You're considering the RTX 3070 graphics card and are unsure which CPU to match with. You're thinking about either a Ryzen 7 3700X or an Intel i7-9700K, but don’t know what motherboard to go with. Any suggestions would be super helpful—thank you!

Consider building in November first. Wait until Zen 3 arrives and explore its features before moving forward. Avoid Coffee Lake—it’s outdated and unlikely to receive updates. Focus on Zen 3 instead.

Typically they provide a new chipset, yet if not a CPU you can upgrade your BIOS or use maximum series motherboards with bigger BIOS chips. Current max boards seem to lack this clearly, though it would be nice to see a day three compatible option appear.
