Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 850W, True 450W 12VHPWR connectors on PSU and NVIDIA RTX 40 series, ATX 3.0/PCI-E 5.0 compatible, 80+ Gold rated, SLI/Crossfire ready power supply, PS-TPD-0850FNFAGU-4, 10 Year Warranty
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BF3YF9KY?tag...e=ogi&th=1
Confusion about the 850W label versus the actual 450W true power.
Parts list reference: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kCVvKq
Uncertainty about whether a 750W or 850W PSU is appropriate. Some advice suggests selecting a power supply 200-300 watts above the system's standard requirement.

The 450w cable corresponds to a 12VHPWR type. The GF3 850w includes a 450w 12VHPWR cable for nVIidia GPUs. A 7900GRE does not require a 12VHPWR connector, so you're unrelated to it.

I'm considering purchasing this PSU but I'm puzzled about why it lists 850W while the actual "true PSU" is 450W. It means the 12VHPWR harness or cable can supply 450W through that single connector to your GPU that needs a 12VHPWR input. The whole unit remains unchanged.

I'll check the EXPO. Regarding the PSU, does it suit your rig or do I need one for AMD?
