Hello, I'm working on a laptop repair for a friend and need assistance figuring out the problem. The device was knocked onto its side, and now the screen isn't functioning. It operates fine with an external monitor connected, but the display is faulty. There are no visible damages on the motherboard or screen itself, so I'm looking for guidance on what parts might need replacement. In the motherboard photo, the bottom left area appears to have been impacted during the drop. Here are some details about the laptop: HP Laptop 15-dy1028ca, Product Number 7YZ69UA. Thanks for the support.

I would begin by repositioning the link between the display and the board, possibly coincidentally securing it properly.

You can use a flashlight at an angle while the screen is on. An external monitor would help you access a white page with black text, making it clearer to see if the whole screen is missing.
