I received an X79 motherboard with two Xeon E5-2670v2 processors. I’m considering boosting the CPU speed by adjusting the FSB frequency, aiming for 110MHz. I’m concerned about potential effects on other components such as my GPU (RTX3060) and storage devices (SATA and USB).

Note that there is no CPU strap included, which means the PCI-E speed will shift when I adjust the FSB clock rate.

I attempted it, but even a slight overclock of around 2.5MHz leads to the GPU shutting down unless I reinitialize the BIOS. Result: no, unless you risk damaging your GPU.
