so yeah, i've been looking all over internet to find a solution for this one but i just can't and it's frustrating. it might even not be possible but here goes. so i have loads of files like movies, and stuff. and i tidied up my folder, and i arrange my folders really neatly so that it can looks great and i can look for the file i want easily. but i just can't, the folder is showing what is inside it and that is not a problem except it looks messed up. all i want is for it to look great. oh god i don't know how to explain this. i want to use a picture to represent every film in the folder. for example if i have Inception movies, i want to look for a cool inception picture and use it as my folder icon so that it can look great and tidy. but whenever i use custom icon it becomes a small ugly looking icon. unlike windows own icon which is massive and looks cool. all i want is to be able to use a picture as big as the actual folder icon . examples. windows folder icon. http://gyazo.com/2f8f209b8b32f1f1830ce10908f93b52 http://gyazo.com/e10b083f9864813423fe6deff236c92e custom icon. http://gyazo.com/6b9db91be080617e04e738d915876e22 if anybody can help me with this, i'll be trully grateful because i am really sure that a few years back i saw someone having folders like that. tell me if it's possible or not.

I attempted what you demonstrated, but the custom icon remains unusually tiny compared to the other T____T help examples: http://gyazo.com/f1aeb0bc8aa8ba33b92ae172de84edbc. I didn<|pad|> to ensure visibility, but I only want the icon to match the default size. That would mean the content won’t display properly at all.

Windows is pulling images from the folder with the original movie. You could swap it for a higher-resolution version if you have one. Just make sure the new file is larger than the thumbnails you’re using.

I mainly grab 1080p for around 20 films, just because I like them. It looks sharp without any blurriness—720p feels too low quality compared to what I’m used to.

The only thing I have is that icon you're using is too small for what's required.

and i did checked it before, so first i look for solution on the internet and the solution was to resize the pic into 480x400 and save it as bmp. and i do. then the icon was that small. i thought to myself that maybe the size is actually the problem and it doesn't have such restriction like "have to be 480x400". then i turned 1920x1080 pic into bmp and choose it as the icon and the result was exactly the same. lol

Confirming you wish to display only icons, not folder images. If true, adhere to the specified dimensions; otherwise, it will be resized accordingly. Icons are provided in square format, so a 1080p source scale won't be effective.

It works, I love you! You're the best! Thanks a lot. It wasn't exactly what I expected, but your words guided me well. You're really amazing. This is the result I was aiming for, and it's finally complete. Thanks again!
