Have issues with your router?
Computer freezing while trying to detect the network and missing the router's IP for adjustments. Recently switched from DSL to fiber yesterday. The old router was replaced, but now I can't reach it. My house has two routers: the main one connects upstairs to another in my room because the Wi-Fi signal from the main unit isn't reaching down there. I used an older router for local Wi-Fi and also connected my PC via a wired connection to the second router. Previously, with fiber, everything worked perfectly. After the switch, everything functioned normally except for my phone, which keeps failing to connect to the old router upstairs due to an IP issue. For the rest of my devices, internet access remained stable. I attempted a factory reset on the upstairs router using the pin method, but it didn't restore the IP address needed for settings. The 192.168.1.1 address stopped working, though the downstairs router's IP (192.168.254.254) was accessible. I can still modify settings on the lower router, even without direct PC connection, but I'm unsure what to change. I'm stuck and frustrated. Anyone have suggestions or resources?
I need to understand what information is relevant. It’s challenging to grasp what actions were taken and what wasn’t. From what I see, most routers use a particular cable and port for connection. You might try resetting the router by pressing the small pinhole button—maybe you did it already. If you can’t read it clearly, sorry. Also, setting up the configuration from your ISP usually takes a few minutes. You could ask them for the router login details, IP address, and password to proceed further.
Haha I'm pretty bad at explaining things But I did do everything you told me but still can't get the damn router/modem to give internet connection to my pc
