Hey everyone,
I own a Gigabyte RX 5700 XT Gaming OC and have some worries about its idle temperature. It tends to sit around 50–56 °C when not in use, which seems a bit high. Since my room is warm or even hot, it could be influencing the reading. Should I be concerned or is this typical for this card? Thanks in advance.

If the card supports zero-rpm mode, the fans will remain still until the temperature reaches around 60°C. In that scenario, it's normal for a slightly higher idle temperature to occur. Check your fans while they're off—if they don't spin but start when you play and the temperature is stable during gaming, everything seems okay. However, if the fans spin at idle but the temperature spikes significantly while gaming, there could be an issue. Keep in mind that the RX 5700 XT tends to run quite hot, and typical temperatures during gaming with this card fall between 70-85°C.

Adjust the fan curve so that fans start at 40-50°C, maintaining low RPM and quiet operation.

It's typical for the 5700 XT, particularly in warmer conditions. These cards tend to idle around the 50s since the fans only activate when temperatures rise. No major concerns unless the device overheats during heavy use.
